SEMINOLE, Fla. (AP) - U.S. Rep. David Jolly will meet with local veterans to discuss health care at Veterans Affairs hospitals.

Jolly is scheduled to meet with the veterans on Tuesday morning.

Concerns over veterans' care at VA facilities have been in the news recently. Some members of Florida's congressional delegation - including Jolly - have asked local VA hospitals about wait times and secret waiting lists. One VA facility in Chicago is facing allegations that its staff used such lists to conceal long patient wait times for appointments.

Meanwhile, Florida officials have filed a lawsuit in federal court, saying that the VA has refused access to state regulators as they seek to confirm allegations of substandard care.

Meeting Details: On Tuesday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Jolly will host a Veterans Intake Clinic at his office at 9210 113th St. in Seminole to hear directly from veterans regarding their experience with wait lists and the quality of service they receive at our local VA facilities — concerns and compliments. No appointment is necessary.
