The 12 days of the 2017 Florida State Fair include giveaways, deals and promotions to celebrate all that is great about Fair – and the attendees, whether first-timers or devoted fans. With more than 100 things to see and do included in the price of admission, Fair fans with availability during the week can enjoy special incentives and explore all the entertainment and attractions – while avoiding the weekend crowds. February 9 (Opening Day): Salute to Heroes – All active, reserve, retired military veterans, law enforcement, firemen and first responders are admitted free with valid ID. There will be a special commemorative give-away* to recognize these heroes.

February 11 and 18: 4-H and FFA Days – 4-H and FFA students admitted FREE with ID or jacket.

Monday through Friday, February 13-17: Seniorific Days – These days feature senior discounts at the gate and a robust schedule of senior-specific programs, including a presence by Central Florida Speech and Hearing, which will provide qualified special needs seniors with phones on-site. Programming by a Dementia Awareness organization also is planned.

February 14: Valentine’s Day – Celebrate Valentine’s Day with your love and receive special giveaways* including coupons and candy courtesy of the Simon Shopping group and 2-for-1 rides on the Giant Wheel sponsored by Wade Shows.

February 14 and February 15 at 2 p.m.: Country Gold Tour – $20 for reserved chair seating and $10 general admission bleacher seating.

February 15: Grandparents’ Day – Grandparents and other caregivers and preschoolers will receive special giveaways,* including coloring books for children. Programming specifically tailored for grandparents and preschoolers, such as special tours of the Agriculture area and Cracker Country, will take place all day. Children and adults also can collaborate on a coloring wall, enjoy Library Storytimes with the Hillsborough County Public Library, and more.

February 16: The Fair Cares Non-Profit Appreciation Day and Thrifty Thursday – Members of non-profit organizations are invited to enter a raffle for cash prizes to be awarded to both the individual and their organization by the Fair Authority. There will be a special give-away* and a discounted Midway promotion with 10 rides for $10 as part of our Thank You to community volunteers.

February 17: $5 Friday after 5 p.m. – Guests admitted for $5 after 5 p.m. (Sold only at the Fairgrounds.)

February 20: Family Fun Pack – $25 admission for up to four people. (Sold only at the Fairgrounds.)

Student Days – Students receive a FREE ticket distributed by the school district in the various counties of Hillsborough (February 10); Hardee (February 12); Citrus and Highlands (February 19); Manatee, Pinellas, Polk and Sarasota (February 20).

Gold Access Program – Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and the last day of the Fair (February 10, 11, 12, 18, 19, 20) – This enhancement, available with the purchase of a ride armband, grants guests special express access at Midway rides for a $15 upgrade fee. (Limited number sold each day.)

Goodwill discount – Guest receive $2 off adult regular gate admission with donation to Goodwill Industries. (Does not apply to advance sales.)
