The Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Buffalo Sabres 3-2 at the Tampa Bay Times Forum, thanks to an Ondrej Palat goal at 15:55 of the third period to break the tie and give the  Bolts the lead.

Tyler Johnson and Martin St. Louis scored the other two goals for Tampa Bay, with Vatteri Filppula picking up an assist on both.

The Lighting were outshot 43=25 against the reigning Stanley Cup Champions Thursday night, but managed to take advantage of the struggling Sabres and outshot Buffalo 39-22 Saturday.

The Lightning move to second place in the Atlantic Division with a 7-3 record after the first 10 games of the season and end their seven-game homestand win five wins and two losses.

Tampa Bay goes back on the road and will face their in-state rival, Florida Panthers Sunday at 5pm.
