The Tampa Bay Lightning begins preparations for their first round opponent in the Montreal Canadiens later this morning at the Tampa Bay Times Foum.  As the Bolts enter the postseason for the first time since 2011, questions surround the youth and inexperience of the Lightning roster when it comes to the amount of success they could have in the playoffs.

Ligthning defenseman Victor Hedman told WDAE’s ‘The Sports Page’ on Tuesday morning that he feels the youth of the Bolts will not be an issue at all.

“I think a lot of the guys who are playing in their first NHL playoffs were part of the Syracuse team that went to two straight finals (AHL),” said Hedman.  “They know what it’s all about, it’s the same on every level.”

Hedman returned to the ice on Sunday against Washington after leaving Friday night’s game early with an undisclosed injury.

“I feel great,” said the Bolts defenseman.  “You obviously worry when it (injury) happens, but I feel great and was able to play against Washington and I’ll be ready for tomorrow.”
