The Tampa Bay Lightning clinched home ice for the first round of the playoffs on Sunday with a 1-0 shootout win in Washington behind another stellar performance from Anders Lindback in goal for the Bolts.  Lindback came up clutch to nab his first shutout of the season with 18 saves against a Capitals team looking to spoil Tampa Bay's playoff future and deny them the home advantage against Montreal.

Lightning radio play by play voice Dave Mishkin joined WDAE's 'The Sports Page' on Monday morning and said he believes Lindback is ready for his chance in the postseason for Tampa Bay.

"We know Lindback and Bishop are both big, but they're also athletic.  The key is to not overplay pucks," said Mishkin.

The voice of the Bolts harkened back to a March game in Pittsburgh where the Lightning lost in overtime with Lindback in net, and Mishkin believes that game is what has led to Lindback's recent success in place of the injured Ben Bishop.

"He (Lindback) played really well in that game," said Mishkin.  "I thought then Lindy looks pretty good.  Now he didn't get another chance to play until this past week, but I think he's been able to carry that over.  That's a testament to the work that he's done in practice and honing the fine points of his game, so that way when he got his opportunity he was able to come in and provide the Lightning with some high quality goal tending."

The Lightning will host the Montreal Canadiens in the first round of the NHL playoffs beginning on Wednesday night at the Tampa Bay Times Forum.
