TAMPA, FL (via Tampa Bay Lightning Communications) – The Tampa Bay Lightning have announced that team founder and Hockey Hall-of-Famer Phil Esposito will be in attendance at the Lightning Made Summer Hockey Camp at the Ellenton Iceplex, being held from July 7-11. Esposito will be an on-ice instructor for a day at the camp and will also sign autographs for participants.
There will be two Lightning Made Summer Hockey Camps at multiple locations during different weeks of the summer. The Brandon Ice Sports Forum will host a camp from June 23-27 while the Ellenton camp will run from July 7-11.
Camp attendees will be able to register in either the 10-and-under category or the 15-and-under age brackets. Each age group will receive two on-ice sessions a day, as well as a 60-minute off-ice training session per day. Campers will learn from Lightning alumni and local players from the college and junior ranks. Attendees of the camp will receive lunch each day, a drawstring bag, t-shirt, shorts and an official Lightning Made camp jersey.
