Bishop had hit the ice before the morning warmups on Tuesday for the Lightning for the first time in full pads following the injury.
According to Dreger, Bishop had hoped to return to the Bolts starting lineup if the team had advanced to a game five in Tampa Bay. The Bolts were swept by the Montreal Canadiens late Tuesday night on a goal in the closing moments of the contest.
