Presumed to be near to having the services of Steven Stamkos when their season resumes, the Lightning will have to wait a little longer.

Stamkos was not cleared to make the upcoming four-game road trip which begins Thursday. The news came down on Monday afternoon after Stamkos had an X-Ray.

"We want to be smart and make sure it's 100 percent healed," said Stamkos, adding that his broken tibia is 95-98 percent healed.

The new timeline has Stamkos suiting up March 6 when the Bolts are home against Buffalo. His next medical evaluation is set for the previous day.
