Tuesday, typically an off day for the team, marks one of two practices the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will hold this week as they head into their bye. Head coach Greg Schiano commented as much as he could on the situation with former starting quarterback Josh Freeman, and NFLPA Executive Director DeMaurice Smith was at One Buc Place meeting with players.
Afterwards, Smith gave an official statement to the media, saying the union has filed a grievance on behalf of K Lawrence Tynes, "in connection with what we believe are significant concerns about the manner in which that player (Tynes) and other players' safety was handled by the team" in regards to the MRSA infection which affected Tynes and guard Carl Nicks.
