First reported by Tampa Bay Times Buccaneers Beat Writer/Co-Host of WDAE's The Sports Page Rick Stroud, a former Lovie Smith pupil will join his staff as a Bucs assistant.
Stroud tweeted Tuesday evening that former Buccaneers linebacker, Hardy Nickerson, who played for Tampa Bay from 1993-1999 was returning to the Bucs to coach the linebacker corps.

As a Buccaneer, Nickerson made the Pro Bowl five times (1993, 1996-99), was named an All-Pro four times (1993, 1996-97, 1999), and was awarded the NFLPA's "Whizzer" White Man of the Year honor in 1997 for his extensive work in the community.
Nickerson was also named to the National Football League 1990's All-Decade Team.
A source close to the situation has confirmed the report to WDAE.
