If anyone is in the corner of Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Josh Freeman, it’s his head coach Greg Schiano.   The second year head coach once again stood by Freeman during an appearance on the NFL Network’s ‘NFL Total Access’.  When asked about who will be taking snaps under center during the 2013 season, Schiano replied "We only have one (quarterback).  It's Josh Freeman."

Some have speculated that the Buccaneers could be looking to change the signal caller since drafting Mike Glennon in the third round of this past April’s NFL Draft.  However Schiano said while he enjoys his players battling it out for roster position in training camp, he fully expects Freeman to be taking snaps first and foremost.

"I believe in competition, and Mike Glennon is going to be a tremendous quarterback in his time," Schiano said. "But we have a quarterback, it's Josh Freeman. He had a really good spring. I think it's really coming together, being in this system for a second year now and hearing the things over again after being able to study it, I'm really encouraged.

Schiano also expressed that offensive coordinator Mike Sullivan is encouraged by what he’s seen from Freeman in his off season work.  Schiano stating he expects a big year from Josh Freeman and the entire offense of the Buccaneers.
