A source tells me the Bucs will sign former Bills kicker Rian Lindell on Wednesday morning.  Lindell was cut by Buffalo on Monday after 10 years with the Bills.

Over the course of his career, the 36-year-old Lindell has booted 83% of his field goals.  The Bills cut Lindell and decided to go with the younger Dustin Hopkins.  Lindell brings experience to a kicking position for the Bucs that has been a question mark since Connor Barth went down for the season with a torn Achilles tendon.

Lindell's signing could spell doom for Lawrence Tynes, who was signed after Barth went down.  Tynes has been hampered by a toe injury throughout training camp and the preseason.  Lindell will contend with the unproven Derek Dimke for the starting job.  Dimke is a perfect 5-for-5 in FGs this preseason but he has never kicked in a regular season NFL game.
