“Total dysfunction?  Would that be an understatement?”  A statement made by three time Super Bowl champion, and now Atlanta sports talk show host, Randy Cross on WDAE’s ‘The Ron and Ian Show’ when describing the season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  Cross believes all the off the field distractions this season surrounding Greg Schiano and the Buccaneers has led to some on the field issues between the players and their head coach.

“There just seems to be a very severe disconnect between him and professional athletes” said Cross.  “It’s no insult because there have been plenty of college coaches that didn’t do fantastic on the pro side.  It just seems like for a guy who has had some background in the league (NFL), you sure couldn’t tell from the way things have gone.”

Cross said the hot seat is much hotter for Schiano than another winless head coach like New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin.  The three time Super Bowl champ believes the focus for the Buccaneers has been on everything besides football since the beginning of the season.

The Atlanta Falcons will host the 0-5 Buccaneers on Sunday afternoon at 1pm.
