Monday morning, former Redskins QB Joe Theismann joined the Ron and Ian show and gave his thoughts about the Bucs this offseason.

Starting with Tampa Bay's quarterback, Theismann said he understands what it is like to be in the final year of a contract like Josh Freeman is and feels the Bucs' signal caller has a lot to prove.

"I think this is an important year for Josh to show improvement in gus decision-making and his leadership skills for this football team," Theismann said. "If he can do those things, I think he's a big-number guy; he's probably a $60-70 million quarterback, because that's sort of the mid-range number for quarterbacks today. I don't think he's a $100 million guy, because they haven't really done anything yet , but he's certainly is, I think, good enough to lead this football team."

Theismann goes on to say that trading for Darrelle Revis is a good move if the Bucs don't have to give up too much.

"If you're talking third, fourth, round picks I think that makes a lot of sense," Theismann said, "Anything higher than that and it hurts your football team and is not worth the value."
