Senior guard Ian Miller came off the bench and scored a career-high 25 points as FloridaState overcame a large first-half deficit to defeat Wake Forest 67-60. The win snaps a two game losing streak for the Noles.
FSU guard Aaron Thomas added 19 points and 14 rebounds for Florida State who notched their first road win since posting a 63-53 victory at Miami a month ago.
Wake Forest took control with a 12-0 run early in the game as Coron Williams scored seven quick points to push Wake to a 21-6 lead. The advantage grew to as many as 16 points at 24-8 before FloridaState rallied even though the Noles still trailed Wake Forest 29-23 at the break.
The Seminoles took their first lead at 39-37 in the second half on a Devon Bookert jumper and were able to hold it down the stretch. Miller's 3-pointer with 2:12 remaining gave FloridaState a 61-55 advantage and they never looked back.
The Noles will host red hot North Carolina on Monday night in Tallahassee.
