Just a day after his head football coach stated that he expects Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Jameis Winston to stay at Florida State for another two years, Winston himself stated the exact same statement. Winston speaking with the Associated Press said that he does indeed plan to play two more seasons for the Noles before making a decision on where he wants to go pro.
The reason why however isn't because of his performance on the gridiron however.
"Obviously I'm a big baseball person, so that's an accurate statement because I plan on playing baseball next season anyway," said Winston, who is expected to be the Florida State's closer this season.
Winston is a two sport star at FSU and wants to play for the Seminoles in 2015, around the time he would be preparing for the NFL draft if he chose to leave.
"Obviously, I'm not even worried about the draft and stuff like that," Winston said Thursday. "I'm worried about winning championships here at Florida State."
