USF is unable to force No. 11 Louisville to pull the razors out for a clean shave losing 80-54. That’s right. The head coach of the Cardinals has his players growing their facial hair until they lose another game. Their last loss was against Cincinnati on January 30. They will have an opportunity for redemption when they face the Bearcats on Feb 22.
The Bulls just couldn’t get anything going in this one. They had 20 turnovers, and you don’t need to be a basketball expert to know that’s not good.
Victor Rudd had a very good game leading the Bulls with 27 points, 10 rebounds and one assist. He was actually the leader for points out of both teams. Russ Smith led Louisville with 19 points, five rebounds and two assists.
Louisville lost their big man, Montrezl Harrell, in the second half. This gave USF an opportunity to get into the paint and hang in there for a little bit.
The Cardinals pulled away and held on to beat the Bulls 80-54 and marks their third loss in a row.
USF will come back home and play UConn at the Sun Dome February 26 at 7 PM. They lost to UConn 83-40 back on February 12 in Hartford, CT.
