He will work directly with University CMO Tom Hoof on Athletics marketing, branding and game presentation initiatives and have oversight over athletic communications.

“I am very excited to welcome Andrew back to USF,” Harlan said. “He will play a key role in leading our efforts going forward. Andrew brings great passion for USF as well as an immense background, strategic vision and proven success in collegiate athletics.”

Goodrich previously served as an assistant athletics director for administration at USF from 2005-09 and is currently completing his Ph.D. in higher education administration at USF.

“It is an honor to have the opportunity to serve the student-athletes, coaches, alumni, and USF community in this role,” Goodrich said. “Our athletics director, Mark Harlan, has a great vision and plan to lead this program forward, and I have faith in the coaches, staff members, and student-athletes, who I have found to be exceedingly talented and passionate about fulfilling this great program’s potential. I believe that the rise of the USF Bulls will be one of the greatest college athletics success stories told in the 21st century, and I am honored to join our student-athletes, coaches, administration, alumni, and fans to play a small part in that much larger story.”

As Miami’s associate athletics director for marketing and sales Goodrich served as a member of the external leadership staff where he oversaw revenue generation, ticket sales and marketing. He was responsible for the management of the marketing department’s promotional, advertising and budgeting strategies for the Hurricanes’ 17 varsity sports and helped the Hurricanes see tremendous growth including near record football and basketball ticket sales.

Prior to his time with the Hurricanes, Goodrich served as Director of Athletics at Owego (N.Y.) Free Academy, where he spearheaded significant athletic facility improvements and successfully fundraised 100 percent of the cost to build a cutting-edge strength and conditioning center.

Before returning to his hometown of Owego, N.Y., Goodrich was a member of USF’s senior staff and was a sports administrator for the sailing and golf programs from 2005-09. He also assisted in the development of annual marketing and sales plans, managed a $4 million grant-in-aid budget and managed game contracts in addition to head coaching employment contracts, multimedia rights and athletic apparel agreements. Prior to his career in intercollegiate athletics, Goodrich worked for International Business Machines (IBM) as a Financial Database Analyst & Accountant from 2000-05.

Goodrich earned his bachelor’s degree in business at Cumberland University, where he became a three-time academic all-conference selection as a member of the Bulldogs baseball team. He earned his MBA from the University of Notre Dame, and also earned a certificate from Cornell University’s Administrative Management Institute.

Goodrich will be joined in Tampa by his wife, Erika.
