According to a report by ESPN's Brett McMurphy, the USF Bulls will begin their 2014 season with sophomore quarterback Mike White taking the snaps behind center as the starting quarterback for the Bulls. White beat out Penn State transfer Steven Bench, who started two games for the Bulls last year.

White started the final five games last season for USF winning none of those contests while throwing three touchdowns compared to nine interceptions in those starts. Head Coach Willie Taggart is hoping his offense will be the trigger to a fast start for the Bulls in 2014.
"You see our guys working well together," Taggart said at last Monday's practice on the campus of USF. "Those guys understand what we're doing, so we're able to be more efficient offensively right now."
The team has yet to officially name a starting quarterback for the 2014 season.
