It’s a new day for University Of South Florida head football coach Willie Taggart as today marks his first National Signing Day as head coach of the Bulls. With a recruiting class which many websites have ranked as a top 50 class in college football, one top recruiting expert believes that Taggart may top the AAC conference as the best of them all.
USA Football Combine and highly regarded High School Evaluator David Schuman joined WDAE’s ‘The Sports Page’ and said that not only is Taggart expected to have a great first recruiting class at USF, but it could be the highlight of the American Athletic Conference.
“He has a top 40 class potentially overall, and that may not sound that exciting but in his conference (AAC) he’s probably going to come out with the number one class” said Schuman. “He (Taggart) doesn’t have what you would say are the four and five stars, but he’s got a ton of those three star players. If you look at what’s goes and ends up signing in the NFL in the draft, the majority of those players are guys that are three stars.
Schuman said Taggart’s 2014 class is an excellent class and especially impressive coming off a rough 2-10 debut season in Tampa.
