Buc receiver Vincent Jackson could not contain his excitement Friday morning, joining WDAE's Tom Jones and Rick Stroud on the Sports Page.

In talking about the new vibe with head coach Lovie Smith, Jackson called it a "fresh feeling" and more importantly, one that on the field promises to produce a better team.

"We're going to spread the ball around. It's going to be exciting. I'm looking forward to putting up some points this year," Jackson said.

He specifically pointed out the addition of rookie WR Mike Evans.

Jackson said he "couldn't be more impressed" with Smith, the new coaching staff and the free agents the Bucs brought in.

Friday Jackson is hosting his second "Youth in Action" Camp for more than 100 children ages 6-12 who are members of military families. Jackson grew up in the miltary himself and recently wrote a book "Danny Dogtags: Dealing with Deployment" with his wife Lindsey, an elementary school teacher.
