According to a report by Tampa Bay Times’ & 620 WDAE’s Rick Stroud, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have hired Tony Oden as their new defensive backs coach.  Oden held the same position with the Jacksonville Jaguars last season, and has also been a secondary coach in the NFL for the New Orleans Saints from 2006-2011.  The 39 year old assistant was a member of the 2009 New Orleans Saints Super Bowl winning organization.

Oden, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, was a two time first-team all Ohio Athletic Conference player of the year as a linebacker at Baldwin-Wallace College.

Oden replaces Ron Cooper who left the Buccaneers to become the University of South Florida secondary coach under Willie Taggart.
