(via Tampa Bay Buccaneers Communications) - On Tuesday, July 15, the official website of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Buccaneers.com, will release “The First 100 Days," an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at Lovie Smith's first 100 days as the new head coach of the franchise. Granted unprecedented access to the man chosen to lead this new era of Buccaneer football, Senior Writer/Editor Scott Smith provides readers with an intimate look at the veteran coach's return to the NFL and the Buccaneers organization, where he started his NFL coaching career as an assistant to legendary head coach Tony Dungy.

"What I've seen is that when you come in new, you want people to embrace the direction that you're heading with the organization. People have embraced us, from the receptionist to the eating area to maintenance to younger fans, older fans, season ticket holders, people who are going to become season ticket holders.  Just everyone throughout.  The media is giving us a chance to prove what we can do, and that's all you ask.  So, yes, I like the direction we're going, and after 100 days I'm not going to say that we're behind in any way.  We're right on pace for where we should be right now."

The narrative is presented in a special full-screen format and supported by exclusive photos, video and data visualization that help bring to life the story of Smith's return to Tampa Bay. The long-form feature pulls back the curtain on never-before-seen interactions, including Smith’s first meetings with the team and coaching staff, and offers a revealing look into key events of the 2014 NFL offseason during Smith’s quick ascension as a leading figure in the Tampa Bay community.

“I've loved these 100 days.  Not enjoyed it – I've thoroughly loved every moment of it, every minute, every second of it.”
