The Tampa Bay Rays have not had a great road trip to Chicago, dropping two of the first three games at U.S. Cellular Field.  They set a team record by committing four errors in an inning Sunday.  And now it appears even the team's hotel is working against them.

Rays Radio play-by-play man Dave Wills found himself trapped in the elevator at the hotel as he was trying to leave to get lunch.

He then tweeted a picture as proof of his dilemma.

He even took questions from people about his situation.

It seemed that he might not make it out in time to get where he needed to be.

But in the end, he was finally rescued.  It took long enough though!

And who was he going to meet for lunch?  None other than Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times!

A Chicago native, we can only imagine this is the only time Wills is going to be pleased to have his hometown in the rear-view mirror.

The Rays and White Sox are scheduled to wrap up the series tonight at 8:10 (weather permitting), with coverage on 620 WDAE and 95.3 FM starting at 7:00.
