Just moments after the Rays confirmed the signing of Delmon Young came news of another possible addition to the offense.

ESPN Chicago reports the Rays claimed outfielder David DeJesus off waivers from the Nationals. He had just come from the Cubs Monday only to be immediately placed on waivers by Washington.

DeJesus spent the bulk of his career in Kansas City (2003-2010) before signing with Oakland in 2011 and going to the Cubs the following year.He has a career .279 batting average and hads never hit more than 13 homers.
