If you're looking to get autographs at Rays Fan Fest February 22nd, you may have to shell out quite a bit more for your favorite players.
While in previous years there was a flat fee to get an autograph wristband, this year there will be price tiers, with the highest-profile players getting premiums for their time.
To get autographs from either pitcher David Price, third baseman Evan Longoria, or outfielder Wil Myers, you'll have to pay $125 per player. A group of players, including Chris Archer, James Loney, Matt Moore, and new Rays closer Grant Balfour, are in a second tier for $25 a player. All player autograph tickets will be limited to 60 tickets and proceeds benefit the Rays Baseball Foundation and the ALS Association Florida Chapter.
The team says other players will also be available to sign autographs for free to kids under 14 years old, as well as anyone who purchased an autograph ticket.
Autograph tickets go on sale to the general public January 31, and will only be available on the team's website. Tickets will not be available at the Trop the day of Fan Fest, and the team says tickets that are lost or stolen will not be replaced.
