Former Red Sox first baseman and current analyst for the MLB Network and NESN Kevin Millar joined the Ron and Ian Show Thursday morning to share his thoughts on the AL East.

Millar believes the Yankees have done the most to better their team from a year ago and feels the Rays still have one aspect of the game that makes them dangerous, but there is still a big question mark offensively for Tampa Bay.

"The Rays, though, they pitch every fifth day," Millar said, "Every fifth day. With (David) Price not going anywhere anymore, not being traded and all of this talk - that's a huge step for the Rays.

"So now, it's just 'Who's going to hit with Evan Longoria?' 'Who's going to step up offensively and roll that pole?' and I think that's always been the question mark for the Rays, is that we know they pitch, we know they play defense, Joe Maddon's not going to get out-managed by any means, but they just need to hit with these big lineups that are in the East."
