David Price threw his third complete game of July, and Wil Myers' two-run single was all Tampa Bay would need to climb back to within a half-game of the Boston Red Sox with a 5-1 victory Wednesday night.

Price needed just 97 pitches to go the distance, allowing five hits.  He didn't walk a batter and struck out four in improving to 5-5 on the season.

The 2012 Cy Young Award winner also got help from his defense, including an amazing double play started by Yunel Escobar in the fourth inning.

Watch perhaps the best double play you'll see this year!

Tampa Bay got the scoring started in the third inning, as Desmond Jennings singled with one out, moved to second on an errant pickoff throw by Felix Doubront, took third on a single to left by Evan Longoria.  Ben Zobrist loaded the bases with a bunt fielder's choice before Myers flared a pitch over Dustin Pedroia's head and into center to bring in Jennings and Longoria.

Zobrist and Myers then each moved up a base on a double steal, and the Rays second baseman came home on a sacrifice fly by Luke Scott for a 3-0 lead.

Boston cut into the lead in the seventh, when Mike Napoli ruined any chance Price would have for a shutout, blasting a solo home run over the Green Monster in left to make it a 3-1 game.

Tampa Bay would answer in the eighth, as Myers singled with one out off reliever Pedro Beato.  He would move up a base two batters later when Sean Rodriguez singled off Matt Thornton and score on a base hit by James Loney.  Jose Molina then plated Rodriguez with a single of his own to set the score.

The Rays will have another opportunity to overtake Boston for the division lead in Thursday's series finale, as Jeremy Hellickson (9-3, 4.62 ERA) takes on John Lackey (7-7, 2.95 ERA).  First pitch is scheduled for 7:10, with coverage on 620 WDAE and 95.3 FM starting at 6:00 with the Suncoast Hyundai Dealers Inside Pitch.
