After a devastating loss to the Angels last night the Rays looked to bounce back with Chris Archer on the mound. Archer gave the Rays a decent start going five and two-third shutout innings as the Rays offense delivers just enough for the team to get a 3-0 win in game two of this four game series.

Jered Weaver was equally as good for the Angels, but the few mistakes he made the Rays made him pay. Yunel Escobar delivered with a solo home run in the fifth to give the Rays a 1-0 lead.

In the seventh the Rays would add on again, capitalizing on a walk to Evan Longoria with a James Loney RBI single. Tampa Bay would extend the lead to 3-0 when Longoria did it with the bat this time and delivered an RBI single that scored Wil Myers in the eighth.

Grant Balfour came on to save the game for the Rays, and after a rough night last night he stepped up with a perfect ninth inning to save the 3-0 victory.

The Rays look to take control of this series tomorrow night with first pitch set for 9:05PM and pregame starting at 8:30PM. Catch the Suncoast Hydundai Dealers Inside Pitch starting at 8PM on 620 WDAE.
