The Tampa Bay Rays looked to end their first road trip of the season with a win against the Baltimore Orioles. Jake Odorizzi started for the Rays opposite Miguel Gonzalez, both looking for their first win of the year. The Orioles jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the fourth inning and with the struggles of the Rays offense, that was more then enough.

After loading the bases with no outs in the fourth, Matt Wieters just missed hitting a grand slam, but his sac fly gave his team a 1-0 lead. The next hitter, J.J. Hardy followed with a fielders choice that scored Chris Davis, giving the Orioles a 2-0 lead. Baltimore added on with an Adam Jones infield single in the fifth inning that plated Ryan Flaherty making it a 3-0 game.

The Rays left nine runners on base as the team was shutout for the third time already this year. The team will look to bounce back tomorrow at the Top as they start a four game series against the New York Yankees. David Price will try to stop the Rays skid, with first pitch set for 7:10.
