David Price was stellar in giving up just one run over nine innings of work and striking out ten Mariners. An RBI ground out in the bottom of the first inning that scored James Jones was all that Price would surrender. The Rays would score two in the ninth and Price finished off the complete game win against the Mariners.

The Rays offense was non-existent for the first eight innings as they could only put together four hits against Hisashi Iwakuma who struck out five Rays on the night. Former Rays closer Fernando Rodney came on for the save and it was David DeJesus who came up with the big hit for Tampa Bay.

It was solo home run in the top of the ninth that tied the game. Tampa Bay was not done there as Matt Joyce singled in Sean Rodriguez and all of the sudden Price found himself in line with a chance to get a win.

Price finished the game by pitching eight straight scoreless frames and the Rays would collect their first win of the road trip. Tampa Bay looks for a series win tomorrow afternoon in Seattle with first pitch set for 3:40 PM with pregame coverage starting at 2:30 with the Suncoast Hyundai Dealers Inside Pitch.
