The Rays have reportedly placed outfielder Desmond Jennings on the 15-day disabled list late Monday night.

According to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times, a further evaluation of Jennings injured finger showed a small fracture.

Jennings injured the finger Saturday while stealing second base in the tenth inning of Tampa Bay's 2-1 win over San Francisco.

To take Jennings spot on the active roster, Topkin says outfielder Jason Bourgeois has been called up from Triple-A Durham.  In 83 games this year with the Bulls, the 31-year-old has hit .292 with two home runs and 56 runs batted in. He has spent parts of the previous five seasons with four different major league clubs: the Chicago White Sox, Milwaukee, Houston and most recently Kansas City.
