The Tampa Bay Rays appear to have added another left-handed arm to their depth chart, as they have reportedly agreed to terms with pitcher Jordan Norberto.

Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle was the first to report the deal.

As Slusser notes in her tweet, Norberto was one of the players involved in the Biogenesis scandal, and was handed a 50-game suspension.  The left-hander has not served the suspension, as he had been placed on the disabled list in the minors after undergoing Tommy John surgery in June.

According to Slusser, Norberto will not report to Rays camp until he is ready.  He also has a grievance files against Oakland, who sent him to the minors before placing him on the disabled list for his surgery.

Norberto did not pitch in the majors in 2013, but was 4-1 with a 2.77 earned run average in 39 games with the Athletics in 2012.
