Commissioner Bud Selig was asked for comment by Tampa Bay Times writer Marc Topkin over the weekend and Selig was not happy.

"It's a situation that needs correction. There's no other way to put it," Selig said. "It's a marvelous organization, competitive every year, and to be last in attendance, you have to be concerned."

Topkin reports how talks between Rays and St. Pete officials, thought to be on the right track in August, have stalled. Selig adds that he will be speaking to Rays owner Stu Sternberg about the issue after the World Series.
