BOXBERGER CALLED UP: After optioning reliever Jeff Beliveau back to Triple-A Durham after Sunday's game, the Rays recalled right-hander Brad Boxberger Monday from Durham.  Boxberger, acquired from the San Diego Padres this past offseason in the trade involving Alex Torres, has spent part of each of the last two seasons in the big leagues.  The 25-year-old went 0-1 with a 2.86 earned run average in 18 games in 2013 with the Padres.

GUYER GETS SPECIAL INTERVIEW:  Outfielder Brandon Guyer, who has hit two of his three career home runs against the Orioles is getting the start in the opener, and is also the subject of a special interview in the Baltimore-Washington region.

Guyer was interviewed earlier this afternoon by Fox 5 Washington sports anchor and reporter Lindsay Murphy, who happens to be the Rays outfielder's wife.

Murphy missed Guyer's big-league debut in 2011 in Baltimore, as she was scheduled to anchor in Washington and could not get to the stadium until after the game started.  She was in the Camden Yards parking lot when Guyer got his first major-league hit, a home run.

She won't miss tonight's game.
