Despite signing a $14 million contract for the 2014 season, David Price's name continues to come up in rumors of possible trade discussions between the Tampa Bay Rays and other teams, most notably the teams who lost out on the sweepstakes for Masahiro Tanaka, who signed a seven-year, $155 million contract with the New York Yankees.
"Once I got the gist for how everything operated, I knew [getting traded] would be a possibility," Price told MLB Network's Hot Stove Wednesday morning. "I definitely love Tampa Bay and I love everything about the organization. I think everyone who knows our organization knows about that as well.
"I've watched people go through this a couple of times, and it makes it a little bit easier."
The 2012 Cy Young Award winner also gave his opinion on Tanaka's deal with the Yankees, as well as detailing what his plans are for the last few weeks before Spring Training starts.
