The Storm won their second game in a row, 62-48 in New Orleans Friday night. Joe Hills overcame a mistake-filled second quarter to catch four touchdowns, and James Harrell had two big non-offensive scores.
It was only 14-7 game with a minute left in the first half. Both teams exchanged touchdowns and then Harrell made his two key plays. The first was a 19-yard interception return with only six seconds left for a 28-13 halftime lead.
Harrell then recovered the second-half kick in the end zone after lineman Jammie Kirlew blew up two Voo Doo players attempting to recover the ball.
Hills caught 9 passes for 118 yards. In the first half Hills dropped a fourth-down pass and later fumbled a ball away. Randy Hippeard threw for five scores and ran for two more.
Tampa Bay is 5-6 and hosts Philly in a key game next Saturday.
