The 2013 season has been full of plenty of ups and downs for the Tampa Bay Rays.  The offense and defense has been steady all year, but the pitching staff, surprisingly, has been the weakness of this team.  Yet, somehow, the Rays remain above the .500 mark and still in the thick of the AL East race just 4.5 games back of the first place Red Sox here at the end of June.
On Monday night, the Toronto Blue Jays came to town riding an 11-game winning streak and had leap-frogged the Rays in the division, putting Tampa Bay in the basement - briefly.  The last two nights, the Rays got things back to normal taking the first two games of the three-game set with the Jays.  Wednesday morning, Rays skipper Joe Maddon as on with Ron and Ian to talk about everything from the pitching staff to Jose Molina and of course, Wil Myers.
"Well he's just got a different way about him," Maddon said of Myers.  "There's a naiveness about him.  He'll ask questions that are so open and honest almost teenager-esk but I love it because he is so for real it's unbelievable."
Maddon and the Rays look to sweep the Jays out of the Trop Wednesday at 12:10 PM!  For the entire conversation with Joe Maddon including what he thinks about Alex Cobb's recovery and the latest on David Price, click below!
