The Washington Redskins have caused a national debate over whether or not the nickname "Redskins" is offensive. Recently, a California high school has taken over the discussion with theirs.

Coachella Valley High School in Thermal, CA, a small town about 25 miles southeast of Palm Springs, came under fire last week when it received a letter from the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, complaining about the way the school's mascot depicted people of Arab descent.

The school's mascot is the "Arab".
