The Big Dog was joined for his weekly visit by manager Joe Maddon from Oakland, and one of the first questions asked was about the bunt by Evan Longoria on Sunday, his first sacrifice of his major league career. Steve has been adamant about his dislike of the decision, and the skipper said he agreed that he'd rather see the third baseman swing the bat.
"Regardless of the good intentions, I'd rather see him hit the three-run homer myself," the manager said. The Rays would only get one run in the inning, and would end up losing the contest.
Maddon also addressed any hangover the team might have after the trade of David Price, and what happened last night in the tenth inning in Oakland. Click below to listen to the conversation!
