Longtime shortstop and future hall of famer Derek Jeter has announced via his Facebook page that the 2014 season will be his last in Major League Baseball.  Jeter returns to the field in 2014 after a 2013 season where the Yankees captain played just 17 games, hitting .190 and driving in seven runs. He tried returning from the disabled list three times, but a fractured ankle injury suffered in the 2012 postseason stymied him in each attempt.
