Working in sports media you are often criticized for how you deliver the news of the day to the masses of both the radio audience and the world wide web audience, especially through social media.  We've made our share of mistakes here at WDAE with our social media platforms on everything from spelling errors to incorrect punctuation.

However what ESPN did earlier today was just outright wrong, and it was immediately deleted.  But only after a couple of screenshots and blog posts later did it make news.

 

Let this be just another lesson for those that work in media, desire to work in media, or simply want to take the risk of saying something that could backfire in your face. 

Think before hitting 'SEND'.
