Delino DeShields Jr., the son of former MLB player Delino DeShields, is playing his baseball this season with the double-A Corpus Cristi Hooks. During a game on Friday, the 21-year old Astros prospect took a 90mph fastball to the right side of his face knocking him immediately to the ground.

DeShields Jr. walked off the field under his own power, and later took this picture from the hospital.

According to several reports, DeShields broke a bone in his cheek which looks about right.
