In the Olympic village our world’s greatest athletes are all “a-Tinder” instead of “a-Twitter” for a change.  Instead of gravitating to the social media giant to spread their thoughts in 140 characters or less, according to snowboarder Jamie Anderson Tinder is the app of choice for athletes at the Sochi Olympic games.

What’s Tinder?  According to Wikipedia, Tinder is a matchmaking app that facilitates communication between nearby users. It is used for dating as well as other kinds of networking. So apparently, when you combine Tinder and the 2014 Winter Olympics, things go to the "next level."

"Tinder in the Olympic Village is next level. It's all athletes! In the mountain village it's all athletes. It's hilarious. There are some cuties on there," Anderson told Us Weekly magazine. "There was a point where I had to be like OK, this is way too distracting. I deleted my account to focus on the Olympics."

So while the games on the field of play continue in Sochi, the games off the field continue even more.
