Albert Pujols became the first major leaguer to hit his 499th and 500th homers in the same game on Tuesday night in Washington D.C.  The Angels first baseman drove in five runs to help the Los Angeles beat the Nationals 7-2 Tuesday night.

Pujols connected twice off Taylor Jordan for a three-run homer in the first inning and two-run drive in the fifth.  Pujols became the 26th player in major league history to reach the milestone and also the third-youngest to get to 500.
