We all don’t want to admit it, but we all from time to time enjoy taking some time out to see 12-year olds play baseball in Williamsport, PA.  One of the best stories of the Little League World Series this year is the Jackie Robinson West squad from Chicago’s South Side that is the first all-black team to reach Williamsport in over a decade.

Jackie Robinson West represents the Great Lakes region at the LLWS, might also have the best player in the entire tournament: Pierce Jones.

To open up Jackie Robinson West’s play in the LLWS, Jones went 4-for-4 with 3 home runs, a triple and 4 RBIs in his first LLWS game.

Just an amazing story, and something to keep an eye on for the rest of the LLWS.
