Ever heard of a baseball game that was called after four and a half innings because the infield was deemed "unsafe"?

Well.....you're in luck!

Last night the Yankees game against the Texas Rangers ended just like that.  After four and a half innings with a team deemed the victor.

Why?

Because the Yankees grounds crew couldn't get the tarp on the infield in time before heavy rains flooded the infield.  Take a look.

It took the grounds crew approximately 15 minutes to get the tarp over the infield and by then it was soaked and the game was called a 2-1 Yankees win.
