It was a blowout-filled Sunday during Week One of the NFL season. Only two games were decided by a touchdown or less. One of those was the Falcons holding off the Bears 23-17, and the Steelers battling past the Browns, 21-18.
The Packers won a defensive battle against the Seahawks 17-9, while the Cowboys handled the Giants on "Sunday Night Football" 19-3. The Panthers spoiled Kyle Shanahan's coaching debut by pounding the 49ers 23-3, Jared Goff had a solid game during the Rams' 46-9 spanking of the Colts, and the Lions rallied with 20 points in the fourth quarter to defeat the Cardinals 35-23. The Ravens shut out the Bengals 20-0, the Jaguars romped the Texans 29-7, the Raiders took care of the Titans 26-16, the Bills beat the Jets 21-12 and the Eagles punked the Redskins 30-17.
The first week concludes with a doubleheader on "Monday Night Football." The opener is the Vikings hosting the Saints and the action wraps up with the Chargers at the Broncos.
