Rays To Return To Trop For Weekend Series With Sox

The boys are coming home.

The Tampa Bay Rays will play their next home series, against the Boston Red Sox, at Tropicana Field, as first reported by Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times.

The team has since confirmed the decision.

The Rays moved this current series with the New York Yankees to Citi Field in Queens because of Hurricane Irma.  There were concerns after the storm that traffic lights would not be restored in time for the start of the series, and there had been rumors that Friday's game could be postoned and a doubleheader played Saturday.  However, the series will begin as planned after Thursday's off day.

The game will be heard on WDAE and the Rays Radio Network
