Gators Knock Off South Carolina 65-41

The Florida Gators (17-8, 8-4) rolled past South Carolina (13-12, 4-8) 65-41 on Saturday.

The Gators dominated in the paint to make a case to get back in the Top 25.  In addition to outrebounding South Carolina 46-24, the Gators blocked eight first half shots en route to a 41-20 halftime lead.  The Gamecocks last chance to claw back into this game was late in the first half, before Florida slammed the door by making six of their final seven shots for the huge lead, and rolled through the second half.

The Gators were led by 12 points each from Chris Chiozza (who added seven rebounds) and Jalen Hudson.  Frank Booker scored 17 points to lead South Carolina in the losing effort.  Florida returns to action on Wednesday when they take on Georgia - tipoff from Gainsville is set for 9 PM on Wednesday night.
